The Art of The Brick: one hundred breathtaking LEGO works of art

Logo of The Art of the Brick

From a giant T. Rex to the Mona Lisa and from Michelangelo's David to the crowd puller 'Yellow'. You name it, American artist Nathan Sawaya has made it from LEGO. The Art of The Brick, named by CNN as one of the ten must-see exhibitions in the world, is coming to the Kalverpassage in Amsterdam. More than six million people have visited this exhibition worldwide. Grab your chance and marvel at one hundred beautiful and bizarre works of art, made of more than one million (!) LEGO blocks. The exhibition will only be on display in the capital for a few months.

An extra dimension

Added to the exhibition, which was first shown to great success in the Netherlands in 2014, is now the stunning gallery 'In Pieces', a multimedia collaboration by Sawaya with award-winning Australian photographer Dean West. This addition gives the stories behind the creations an extra dimension. Before your visit, download the free audio guide on your smartphone. Don't forget to bring your own earphones. Nice to know: Nathan Sawaya narrated the English version himself.

Fun for children

The exhibition is fascinating for both adults and children. Not only will the youngest LEGO fanatics get inspiration for their own works of art, but there is also a special audio tour for the little ones and they can score a great selfie with the artwork 'Blue guy sitting'.
